Krispy Kreme van loaded with 10,000 donuts has been stolen - Police rushed search for thief

A female thief is alleged to have driven the van loaded with 10,000 donuts while its driver was inside paying.

A female thief remains at large after orchestrating a delectable heist, absconding with a van laden with 10,000 donuts.

The theft was captured on CCTV footage at a service station on Pennant Hills Road in Carlingford, northwest Sydney, around 3:30 am on Wednesday.

The footage showed that the driver was inside paying the cashier when the thief secretly got behind the Krispy Kreme-loaded delivery vehicle and drove away. 

According to the report, the van was headed to Newcastle, carrying a variety of deliveries, including Christmas-themed and classic donuts.

Krispy Kreme reported that their employee has been working to replenish the stolen stock as the police intensify their efforts to search for the thief with its valuable cargo

In a statement, Krispy said: 'Police are currently searching for the van and the sweet-toothed thief.'

According to a Krispy Kreme spokesperson, they said: 'We are happy to advise that customers who were intending to purchase or who had orders placed at Krispy Kreme Charlestown will be able to get their doughnuts, as stock has already been replaced.'

Now, the police claim that they have an effort underway to bring her to justice.

They have been mobilized in an effort to locate the woman. Described as having Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, in her early 30s, with long black or brown hair, she was attired in dark clothing and carried a white handbag.

As reported by the police, the van was described as an LDV van with NSW registration DG94MY. However, it does not have any tracking devices installed.

NSW Police said in a statement: “If you’ve got any sweet leads or Krispy CCTV footage, donut keep it to yourself! Contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.'
