Surprisingly, this story is not an isolated incident. Other lottery winners have also experienced regret and misfortune after their big wins.

One couple, who won a $450 million jackpot, referred to the lottery as a "curse" due to the overwhelming drama it brought into their lives.

Initially excited about the newfound freedom the money would provide, they soon realized the significant changes and challenges that came with their massive wealth.

They even expressed a desire to return to their pre-lottery days of a regular paycheck.

Another case from 1998 involved a man who won $16.2 million in a lottery game.

However, his life quickly got bad as he faced numerous problems, including alleged attempts on his life and lawsuits from family members and acquaintances seeking a share of his winnings.

He eventually concluded that he was "much happier" when he was broke.

According to reports, his own brother supposedly hired someone to harm him and his wife.

Additionally, his landlady and on-off girlfriend, Ann Karpik, sued him for a portion of the winnings.

Although he won the legal battles, he confessed that he was left with a mere $2.46 in his bank account. Regretfully, William expressed, "I wish it never happened. It was an absolute nightmare."
