On October 16, 1991, Enrique was out picking mushrooms with his wife, Anna, and their two friends, Jorge and Sophia.
As they explored the area near the abandoned town, they found themselves drawn to a large stone known as La Piedra del Seis, or the Sixth Stone.
According to local legend, touching this stone could transport a person to another dimension.
Podcaster Mr Ballen narrated how the 36-year-old man mysteriously vanished after touching the stone.
Jorge, intrigued by the stone, placed his hand on it and claimed it had dark powers.
“Jorge placed his hand on the top of this strange rock,” Mr Ballen said.
“He encouraged his friends to do the same, and while Anna and Jorge complied, Sophia refused to touch the stone, feeling uneasy about it,” Ballen continued.
“Back in the day Muslim armies used to march through Mussara which actually got its name from this.
Mussara means the place to march and so these armies would pass through Mussara making their way to the valley down below they would always stop at the Sixth Stone.
They believed it had magical powers that could help them defeat their enemies in their upcoming battles,” Ballen explained.
A mysterious fog in the abandoned town surrounded the group
As they stood there, a thick fog began to roll in, making visibility poor.
Suddenly, Enrique noticed something strange.
The fog parted for a brief moment, and he saw a dark figure in the window of an abandoned church nearby.
This figure seemed to be staring at him, but just as quickly as it appeared, the fog closed in again, obscuring his view.
Confused and startled, Enrique tried to shake off the feeling that something unusual was happening.
Despite his unease, the group continued to wander through the town.
They soon reached an old graveyard, where Anna accidentally knocked over a gravestone.
This accident felt like a bad omen to them, as the fog grew thicker and they began to lose sight of one another.
