In a world filled with creative homes, one husband took a bold step.
Vojin Kusic, a self-taught innovator from Bosnia, was tired of hearing his wife’s dissatisfaction with their daily view.
Instead of relocating, Kusic invented a rotating house.
This ingenious design ensures that no view remains the same.
“I’ve got tired of her complaints and frequent refurbishing of our family house,” he said. “I said: I’ll build you a rotating house so you can spin it as you wish.”

The rotating house is located in northern Bosnia, near Srbac.
It spins on a seven-meter axis designed by Kusic himself.
The house showcases picturesque views of surrounding cornfields, farmlands, and a nearby river.
Kusic explained, “The house can make a full circle for 24 hours at the slowest speed. At the fastest, it completes a rotation in just 22 seconds.”
It’s unclear how Kusic’s wife feels about the rotating house.
She has not publicly shared her thoughts. Does she find it amazing or absurd?

Kusic drew inspiration from Serbian-American inventors Nikola Tesla and Mihajlo Pupin.
Growing up poor and lacking formal education motivated him to learn building skills on his own.
“This is not an innovation; it only requires will and knowledge,” he stated. “I had enough time and knowledge.”
The project took six years to complete.
Kusic believes the rotating design offers more resistance to earthquake damage than traditional stationary houses.
“I asked doctors to try to prolong my life for at least a year because I have this project in my head,” he added. “Nobody will know how to complete it.”
