A man in Thailand was hospitalized after a python bit him on the testicles while he was using his home toilet.
Man bitten on balls by a python while sitting on home toilet
Recently, a Thai man named Thanat Thangtewanon had a terrifying encounter while using the toilet in his home.
Thanat felt a sudden sharp pain in his testicles just after sitting down. He then realized a large python had bitten him.
Describing the traumatic experience, Thanat recounted:
“I felt something biting my balls. It was very painful, so I put my hands in the toilet to see what was wrong.
I was shocked that I grabbed a snake.”
Thanat was in shock when he realized he had grabbed a snake.
In a state of shock, Thanat quickly grabbed a toilet brush and began striking the 12-foot python in an attempt to free himself.
Thanat was rushed to the hospital after the unexpected accident
After several frantic blows, he managed to dislodge the snake’s grip from his genitals.
However, the injury was severe enough that he was rushed to the hospital to receive immediate medical attention.
Thanat was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors treated his wounds.
Fortunately, the python was not venomous, but the bite left him with deep cuts that required stitches.
The doctors were able to clean and disinfect the wounds, ensuring that no further complications would arise from the incident.
“My testicles are safe now. I’m lucky it wasn’t a venomous snake.
A cobra would have killed me,” Thanat expressed gratefulness.
The incident has left Thanat deeply shaken.
He mentioned that he will now be much more cautious whenever he uses the toilet, thoroughly checking it to ensure that no unexpected visitors are lurking inside.
“But I haven’t used that toilet again since.
Every time I go, I check what’s inside and put a brush in there to make sure,” he said.
The python was later removed from the toilet by local wildlife authorities.
The snake likely entered the house through the plumbing.
Python encounter case in Thailand
This is uncommon but not unheard of in Thailand, where snakes sometimes enter residential areas.
In a similar incident back in 2016, another Thai man, Attapon Boonmakchuay, had a python latch onto his penis while using the toilet.
Thankfully, he survived the ordeal after his wife pried the snake’s mouth open and he received medical treatment.
The reticulated python, a species found in Thailand and Southeast Asia, commonly lives in forests and swamps.
It can also adapt to urban environments.
As a result, encounters between these snakes and the general public can occasionally occur.
