Signs apologizing for the inconvenience have been displayed in various locations, informing customers that they are unable to order food due to the IT outage.

McDonald's stated the outage was due to an IT issue rather than a cyberattack.

McDonald's has acknowledged the technology outage and assured customers that the issue is being resolved.

The exact cause of the IT issue remains unknown, with some speculating that a software upgrade may be responsible.

The company has a vast global presence, with approximately 40,000 restaurants worldwide. In the United States alone, there are over 14,000 stores, while Japan and Australia have nearly 3,000 and 1,000 stores, respectively.
