In a viral video on TikTok, a man gained attention after complaining to McDonald's about the fast food chain's increasing prices.

In a viral video on TikTok, a man was outraged by a discussion about McDonald's price increases. 

On the TikTok platform, a McDonald's customer, who goes by @fmsmith319, named Freddie Smith, from Orlando, sparked discussion among viewers about McDonald's prices.

The content creator sheds light on the escalating prices of McDonald's popular menu items, particularly the hash brown. 

In the footage, Freddie expressed his frustration after stating that McDonald's is becoming a luxury in the United States.

Freddie's TikTok featured a screenshot of a CNN article discussing customer backlash against McDonald's price increases. Then he continued his rant against the fast food giant's soaring prices.

Freddie also explained McDonald's soaring prices day by day in the video.

He said that in the past, the customers got two double cheeseburgers and a McChicken for the same price. However, nowadays, the customer is just getting one.

 "'They said that a hash brown - one of those breakfast hash browns - is now $3",  Freddie pointed out.

Additionally, Freddie also mentioned anticipated criticism for his complaints.

But he argued that others should be concerned as well. He  posted the question: "'When are you gonna start complaining?'

Freddie pointed out that McDonald's price increases are proof that everyday necessities are getting out of hand. 

He cited the skyrocketing prices of groceries, housing, rent, college debt, daycare, and now fast food as examples of everyday necessities becoming unaffordable.

He expressed the need for optimism and self-improvement in life challenges.

Seeking a glimmer of hope, he passionately questioned, "Well, there's gotta be some light at the end of the tunnel because if not, what are we truly living through?" He concluded the video by suggesting the potential disappearance of the middle class, leaving only the "haves" and the "have nots."

The video garnered thousands of comments, with many admitting the difficulties they faced due to the price hike. Others also criticized the daily price increases by McDonald's. 

One person said: Eat from the kid's menu and stop whining. Be glad u live in the USA and can sometimes enjoy this "luxury."

A second wrote: The end of fast food restaurants is coming. They have priced themselves out of the market. Who knew that $20 an hour would raise prices? Great job, geniuses!!!!

While a third commented: McDonald’s profit increased 10 percent in 2023. Corporations continue to gouge us knowing we are all struggling. 

Someone else said: Fast food should be a luxury.  no one should be eating that every day
