Delta Airlines responds to the incident
Delta Airlines representatives addressed the situation, thanking passengers for their patience and cooperation. They expressed regret for the delay caused by the incident.
A spokesperson reported that the ceiling panel was eventually secured, so passengers did not need to hold it up for the entire flight.
Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the flight continued after a two-hour delay on another aircraft.
“Delta thanks our customers for their patience and cooperation. We apologize for the delay in their travels.”
In response to the incident, Delta Airlines offered compensation to the affected passengers.
They provided 10,000 frequent flyer miles, which is roughly equivalent to about $100. However, many passengers felt this was insufficient for the inconvenience they experienced.

For example, another flight from Florida experienced a significant issue when one of its wheels broke off during landing.
Such events raise concerns about airline safety and maintenance practices.
In February, another Delta flight had a serious mishap, crash-landing and flipping upside down at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
