In a passionate Instagram rant, Trace Cyrus expressed his disdain for Katy Perry, calling her “lame as f–k.”
He believes that Perry and her team have been imitating Miley’s career choices in an attempt to revive her own fading popularity.

Trace recalled a moment when he noticed Perry’s team trying to reinvent her image.
He claimed they looked to Miley’s past successes for inspiration.
“What can we do? Well, what worked for Miley?” he said, referring to Miley’s famous pixie cut in 2012. Perry then debuted a similar hairstyle in 2017.
Trace Cyrus criticized Katy Perry’s career choices.
Trace continued his criticism by pointing out that both singers have experimented with different music styles.
He noted that Perry tried to adopt a “hip-hop” sound by collaborating with the group Migos on her song “Bon Appétit.”

This move came years after Miley had already worked with hip-hop artists like Mike WiLL Made-It and Wiz Khalifa on her 2013 album, “Bangerz.”
Trace sarcastically suggested that Perry’s team thought mimicking Miley’s successful strategies would lead to similar success.
He humorously reenacted what he imagined was a conversation between Perry and her team, mocking their attempts to revive her career.
“‘You’re now going to do the same stuff that Miley did and blow up,’” Trace went on, parodying a an alleged conversation between Perry and her team.
“Guess what? It didn’t f–king work — and then they just tried some EDM song or some s–t because EDM’s hot.”
“Didn’t f–king work, and now they’re going to send your ass to space,” he continued. “Didn’t f–king work! It’s not working. It’s backfiring.”

Katy Perry sparks debate over her recent Blue Origin space flight

This trip received a lot of media attention and sparked various reactions on social media.
Many people criticized Perry for what they viewed as an unnecessary publicity stunt.
Since the space flight, Perry has been the target of online trolls and critics.

One notable critic was lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, who took to social media to poke fun at Perry.
Stewart shared an old video of herself experiencing zero gravity on a plane and made a jab at the lyrics of Perry’s hit song “Firework.”
In her post, she playfully asked, “Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?”
The comment referenced one of Perry’s famous songs in a way that implied Perry’s recent endeavors lack originality or depth.
