McDonald’s is a globally recognized brand with a chain of fast-food restaurants in more than 100 countries and territories.
Therefore, we often see them serving food and drinks to people in densely populated areas.
Have you ever seen a new McDonald’s open in an area where there are no people?
Many people certainly think that it is not normal.
However, a McDonald’s chain left people baffled after it opened in the middle of nowhere in the Canadian countryside.
You don’t mistake what you’re hearing—McDonald’s officially opened a new store at 8075 Avenue Marcel-Villeneuve in Saint-François, Laval, Quebec last week.
The restaurant wrote on Facebook: “Officially open for business. Our staff awaits you at our new restaurant at 8075 Marcel-Villeneuve, Laval.”
While, the unique new restaurant has gone viral on TikTok after an account known as @thumbs.up.canuck uploaded a video.
In the footage, the TikToker is not excited but rather left confused, because the new McDonald’s site lacks electricity.
The video is captioned: “McDiesel fumes.”
If you were planning to rush to the new store for a hamburger and some fries, this area is not a good choice. Therefore, he turned back his car and explained: “It’s literally in the middle of farm field. It’s surrounded by farm, and there’s not even electricity yet. They’re running the damn place on a generator! That’s crazy!”
Social media creation.
The video quickly went viral on social media. While, in the comment selection, numerous people said they must know something that everyone else does not.
Addionally, some others suggested that a lot of conspiracy theories were coming out.
The site could eventually become part of a major truck stop. So, some believe that this is a strategic real estate move. While, commenters express the belief that these remote McDonald’s locations are superior to centrally located alternatives.
One person said: Don’t know what they expect to happen when the farmer sprays fertilizer or cow crap is the most common. And ain’t no one gonna go there.
A second wrote: I would bet they’re expecting a lot of development in that area and you may want to try to invest.
