Restaurant owner defends the tradition

Jeanene Paulino, the owner of Rainbow Oaks Restaurant, addressed the viral attention in an interview with Fox & Friends First.

“I come from a long line of patriots, so I was thrilled to keep the tradition going,” Paulino said.

She emphasized that the daily playing of the anthem is a tribute to the sacrifices made by men and women in the armed forces.

“We take a few minutes out of our day to be grateful for their sacrifices,” she added.

The video has ignited discussions about patriotism and cultural differences.
