Coca-Cola began introducing these caps in 2022, to complete the transition by early 2024. The caps are now found on 1.5L and 500ml bottles of Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, and Dr Pepper.

The attached lids are designed not only to ensure that every part of the bottle can be easily recycled but also to prevent loose caps from becoming litter.

While the initiative aims to make recycling easier and more effective, it has faced criticism from customers.
