A plane passenger has sparked outrage after revealing how he cooked shrimp and mashed potatoes in the sink of an airplane bathroom. He brought two six-volt batteries onto the aircraft to power his in-flight meal.

Cooking on the plane might be unusual; however, a passenger cooked the meal on the sink in the plane. He even filmed his performance and posted it on TikTok, leaving several people shocked.

The content creator, from the US and known by the username Barfly, sparks outrage after sharing a video showing makeshift meal prep on a plane.

In the video, he was seen using two six-volt batteries on board a Delta aircraft to prepare a meal in the communal restroom. He cooked shrimp and mashed potatoes in the sink of an airplane bathroom.

The video gained 705,000 views on TikTok; he documented his process of eating his unusual meal on the plane.

In the caption, he wrote: 'With two six-volt batteries wired in series to an immersion beverage heater, one is able to get water scalding hot quickly.

'Raw shrimp will only need a few minutes.

'Adding instant mash to the shrimp water adds some extra flavor. Garlic butter makes everything go better.'

Reaching into the pouch in front of him, he grabs a sick bag and makes his way to the onboard bathroom. He never forgets to carry an odd assortment of items, including his shrimp, powdered potatoes, and batteries.

Once inside, Barfly skillfully sets up his battery wiring setup while plugging the sink and adding a few inches of water.

The water quickly heats up as the electric current flows through it, reaching "scalding" temperatures when he casually tosses in a handful of shrimp.

He was seen sprinkled with seasoning. The chunk of garlic was spread into the mix, seasoning the mixture as he went.

Barfly carefully takes out the cooked shrimp and arranges them on a pile of paper towels.

With his attention now on the mashed potatoes, he adds the mixture to the water that is already there and vigorously stirs in extra garlic spread.

After finishing the cooking, he throws the mashed potatoes and shrimp into the airsickness bag and sits back to enjoy his homemade dinner.

Finally, he called it a success.

The video quickly went viral on social media, sparking debate.

One person said: Imagine seeing bro walk into the toilet with a 6v battery connected to miscellaneous wires and electronics

A second wrote: Seriously, did this man pull down the diaper changing table to use as a food prep area? God only knows what goes on in that sink. Sock wash, urinal, or vomitory.

While a third commented: I won't even touch an airplane bathroom door handle without a paper towel, and he's having a buffet in there! I don't know which one of us is crazier!

Now, as reported by the Daily Mail, a Delta spokesperson stated, 'Delta teams are aware of the video and are further looking into it.'
