Police bodycam footage captured a UFO in the sky.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) recently released a segment of police bodycam footage that has ignited debate online.
The footage appears to capture a green ball of light streaking across the night sky before seemingly crashing to the ground.
According to 8 News, the object was spotted around 11:50 pm on April 30th, 2023, and the flash of light was visible as far away as Utah and California.
During the incident, the police received a chilling call.
After the incident less than 40 minutes, a man residing roughly 80 miles from Area 51 called 911 to report a bizarre encounter.
The released recording captures the man describing two "unknown entities" in his backyard that appeared shortly after he and his family witnessed a similar object in the sky.
The caller described the entity as "8-foot tall" with large, glowing eyes. He expressed fear and insisted they were not human.
"There’s like an 8-foot person beside it and another one is inside us ... and it has big eyes and it’s looking at us - and it’s still there," the man told the police dispatch.
"In my backyard. I swear to God this is not a joke, this is actually - we’re terrified," he continued. "They’re very large. They’re like 8 foot, 9 feet, 10 foot.
"They look like aliens to us. Big eyes. They have big eyes. Like, I can’t explain it. And big mouth. They’re shiny eyes and they’re not human. They’re 100 percent not human."
Police Investigated the incident.
Understandably skeptical, the dispatcher nonetheless documented the call.
The police bodycam footage hints at the officers' own confusion regarding the situation.
A search of the area yielded no further information at the time.
"The green ball of light streaking across the sky is speculated to be not a UFO but rather a meteor.
The green object was recorded in the American Meteor Society's fireball logs, suggesting a possible natural explanation. However, this doesn't account for the caller's reported encounter.
The Las Vegas incident remains unexplained.
The bodycam footage and the 911 call have fueled speculation about UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
While the possibility of a natural phenomenon exists, the caller's account adds an unsettling layer to the mystery.
This is not the first time a mysterious object appearing in the sky has been speculated to be a UFO.
