A shop owner took extreme action after a customer left a negative review. He drove 530 miles to confront her.
In a shocking incident in China, an online shop owner took extreme measures after receiving a bad review from a customer.
The event began when a woman named Xiao Die ordered clothes online.
She made her purchase on December 20 from Taobao, a popular Chinese e-commerce site.
After waiting for three days without any updates on her order, she decided to file a complaint about the delay.
Xiao Die was frustrated and felt she had no choice but to express her dissatisfaction.
Shop owner drives 530 miles to punch customer after she leaves bad review about their service
After she lodged her complaint, the shop owner, Mr. Zhnang, was not happy.
Instead of addressing the issue professionally, he chose to seek revenge.
He traveled over 530 miles from his home in eastern China to Zhengzhou, where Xiao Die lived.
This journey took him a full day and night.
On December 27, just a week after her complaint, Mr. Zhang arrived at a delivery pickup point where Xiao Die was supposed to collect her order.
Instead of handing over the clothes, he confronted her angrily.
Witnesses reported that he punched her in the face and attacked her violently.
The assault left Xiao Die with a concussion and several injuries, including fractures in her elbow.
This incident was captured on surveillance cameras, showing the shocking moment when Mr. Zhang approached Xiao Die with a bag, only to suddenly launch an attack.
Bystanders were present during the incident, but unfortunately, no one intervened to stop the violence.
The shop owner sent threatening messages to the customer
Xiao Die had previously received threatening messages from Mr. Zhang after she filed her complaint.
One message even stated, “I can destroy you.”
This behavior shows how some business owners may react poorly when faced with negative feedback.
Instead of improving their services, they resort to intimidation and violence.
The shop owner was arrested after the attack
After the attack, Xiao Die reported the incident to the police.
The authorities quickly tracked down Mr. Zhang at his home in Suzhou, which was approximately 860 kilometers (around 534 miles) away from Zhengzhou.
He was arrested on January 6, and the police took him back to Zhengzhou for questioning.
As a result of his actions, Mr. Zhang faced serious consequences.
He received a ten-day detention sentence, and his online shop was suspended.
Taobao, the platform where Xiao Die made her purchase, also took action by reducing Mr. Zhang’s ratings significantly.
This serves as a reminder that businesses should take customer feedback seriously and strive to improve.
