A 40-year-old Mexican woman was suddenly attacked by an African lion, risking her life to bite back and make it escape.

"Daily Mail" reported an incident on January 31 in which a person was attacked by a lion. It is understood that the attack took place at the person's home in the central Mexican state of Aguascalientes. A 40-year-old woman named Lidia Hernández was attacked by a lion as she was leaving her home to do laundry.

A lion is believed to have escaped from its cage during an attempted burglary at a mansion in the city of Aguascalientes in western Mexico. The aggressive lion had already killed two dogs and a cat before attacking Lidia Hernandez.

Lidia shared with El Heraldo de Mexico that she thought she was being attacked by a human, only to see a huge black figure coming towards her. Taking advantage of the danger of being attacked by the lion, Lidia quickly bit the corner of the lion's eye. This bite made Salome tremble with fright and runs away. Lidia then quickly ran into the house.

After receiving the news, the lion's owner, Geovany Javier, 34, took control of the pet and put it in his car. However, he was arrested and investigated for intentional injury.

The lion that attacked Lidia Hernandez and another 9-year-old male lion in Javier's mansion were both confiscated by Mexico's Office of the Attorney General for Environmental Protection, according to authorities.

Regarding the victim, Lidia Hernández, she had to have stitches on her head, arms, and blanket due to the lion bite. At present, she is gradually recovering from normal injuries but must rely on a wheelchair to move. She also demands that the owner of the lion be responsible and pay for all medical expenses and damages for her later in life.

However, regarding the owner of the lion, Mr. Geovany Javier said that the lion that attacked Hernandez was fed 15 kilograms of meat by him every day. The attack was unintentional, so he only accepted the economy to pay for medical expenses.

The case is awaiting resolution by a Mexican court in the near future.
