Swarm of bees surrounded the plane, trapping passengers inside aircraft

Thursday, 25/01/2024, 13:28 (GMT+7)

Passengers and crew were stuck inside the aircraft after a swarm of bees covered entire the plane.

Even though it is a small creature, if they gather together it will be an extremely scary thing. Those are the bees.

A swarm of bees took over an entire plane and trapped all passengers and crew inside after they built a nest on the plane's wing.

A buzzing sound suddenly rang out leaving people terrified

The Voepass flight landed at Greater Natal International Airport, Brazil at 12:30 p.m.

While passengers were preparing to get off the plane and move inside, they suddenly heard the buzzing sound of bees.

Some people described it as not simply the usual buzzing of 1 or 2 bees, it was actually so loud that they estimated there were about a thousand bees.

After realizing the bees' sudden appearance, passengers and crew were asked to return to their seats until the firefighters arrived.

Everton César, a passenger on the flight, recalled: "They surrounded the entire plane, we were extremely surprised and scared."

The swarm of bees took over an entire plane

Although they only nest on the wing of the plane, they quickly spread throughout the plane, threatening everyone around.

Faced with the scary situation, the pilot quickly contacted the fire department for help.

With the large number of bees, it took the fire team some time to assess the situation and find appropriate rescue options.

Many passengers were extremely scared, causing the situation inside the plane to become chaotic.

Firefighters successfully rescued passengers and crew

After a while, firefighters used an unknown substance to eliminate the bees around the plane.

In the video, the bees gradually fall to the ground after being sprayed with the substance, creating an itchy scene.

Passengers were finally able to safely exit the plane after 90 minutes of being trapped by a swarm of bees.

After the unexpected incident, Airline Voepass declared that all passengers were safe, and the plane was put into emergency maintenance and allowed to take off for the next flight.

Another case of a swarm of bees surrounded a plane

A Delta Air Lines flight was defeated by a swarm of bees for four hours at Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport after a swarm of bees "rested" on the plane's wing, delaying the flight.

The airline tried many ways to chase the bees away but all were in vain and the fire department was not able to be present to handle the situation.

Pest control agencies are not allowed to spray pesticides on the plane, and the beekeeper who was brought in to respond could not go near the plane. Therefore, they were forced to find another way to get rid of the bees.

After 4 hours passed, the bees finally left when the captain started the plane's engines.

A spokesman for the airline emphasized that they were afraid that starting the plane could cause bees to be drawn into the plane and could jam the mechanisms on the plane's wings.

However, that was the last way they chose to chase the bees away.

The flight then took off and landed safely in Atlanta at about 7:30 p.m. local time.
