Swift delves into past relationships through songwriting

Swift has a reputation for writing about people from her past in her music, including her ex-boyfriends.

In this case, some fans think that the lyrics from the song "My Boy Breaks All His Favorite Toys" could be a veiled reference to the singer's ex, Matty Healy.

The lyrics of songs in the 'TTPD' album are speculated to reference Matty Healy

The pair are rumored to have previously been in a relationship together, and many fans think the song's lyrics are a reference to this.

The song features on Swift's new album "The Tortured Poets Department," with the lyrics going: "My boy only breaks his favorite toys, toys, oh / I’m queen of sand castles he destroys, oh, oh / ‘Cause it fit too right, puzzle pieces in the dead of night / I should’ve known it was a matter of time, oh, oh."

She said: "Being somebody’s favorite toy until they break you and then don’t want to play with you anymore. Which is how a lot of us are in relationships where we are so valued by a person in the beginning, and then all of the sudden, they break us or they devalue us in their mind. We’re still clinging on to 'No no, no. You should’ve seen them the first time they saw me. They’ll come back to that. They’ll get back to that.'"

After the incident, Matty Healy responded to the song.

Matty Healy responded earlier this week when a member of the paparazzi asked him what he thought about the song. "My diss track? Oh!" he said. Healy then laughed and replied: "I haven't really listened to that much of it, but I'm sure it's good."

'"I don't think it will come as a shock to him at all. He's very happy in his new relationship so I'm sure he will be focusing on that.

"As my nephew, we know a bit more about what went on than has been in the press."

Additionally, Debbie claimed that Matty Healy is very happy in his new relationship.
