During her fight against Gillian Robertson at UFC Vegas 100, Pinheiro was elbowed in a sensitive area, causing her ongoing pain.

During the fight, Pinheiro lost by unanimous decision. However, what caught the attention of fans and media was how the fight unfolded.
Pinheiro described how Robertson used illegal elbow strikes, specifically targeting her lower back and buttocks.
One of these strikes even landed directly on her anus. This move raised concerns about sportsmanship in the octagon.

After the match, Pinheiro opened up about the physical and emotional pain she experienced.
She stated that the strikes were not just painful but felt disrespectful as well.
In her words, “Excuse my language, but she elbowed my anus. That’s disrespectful.”
Pinheiro emphasized that she would never intentionally harm another athlete in such a way.
“I definitely felt it there. Excuse my language, but she elbowed my anus,” Pinheiro said.
“To me, that’s disrespectful. I’d never do that to another athlete. She’s a woman fighting there, you know?
I’m there because she’s there, we’re chasing the same dream.”
Pinheiro accused Robertson of acting with bad intentions during the fight.
She mentioned that one of the elbow strikes occurred after the bell signaling the end of the first round.
This added to her frustration, as it seemed to be a deliberate act rather than an accident.
Pinheiro expressed her belief that this kind of behavior is unacceptable in sports, particularly among female athletes who are striving to achieve their dreams.
“It’s not a move to submit or knock me out, it’s not like that.
In my view, she did it maliciously, with bad intentions. Not just during the round, but after the bell she did it again,” she claimed.
The UFC fighter continues to experience pain during recovery.
Weeks after the fight, Pinheiro is still struggling with the injury. She revealed that the pain has affected her daily life significantly.
“I’m on strong meds. Today’s the last day I’ll take them,” she said.
“I can’t sit without a cushion or bend my back. I can’t exert much force because I feel it there.”
Pinheiro has been relying on strong medication and special cushions to help her sit comfortably.
She shared that everyday activities like walking, coughing, and even sneezing have been extremely painful.
“At first, I couldn’t walk, cough, or laugh properly. Sneezing was agony,” she said, illustrating the severity of her condition.
“It wasn’t the heat of the moment. She knew where she was hitting, you know?” she added.
She is sharing her experience with others
Despite the challenges she faces, Pinheiro remains positive.
She took to social media to share an uplifting message about perseverance and gratitude.
“If that was your will, my God, even without understanding, I accept and trust!” she wrote.
In her post, she expressed acceptance of her situation and emphasized the importance of martial arts in her life.
“Thank you for life and for living it the way I always dreamed of,” she wrote.
