According to Insider, a woman, Emily Hasrper, posted a video describing the moment she drained and washed her ground beef in the sink while cooking the meat.

in the video, she shared that the technique was a culinary hack she had acquired from a nutrition class she learned a few years ago. Then, She removed this video.

Harper started the preparation process by placing the raw meat in the pan and breaking it up with a spatula. Until the ground beef began to brown in the pan.

Then she dumped the fried beef onto the rack and rinsed it directly under the tap, before putting it into the pan to complete the cooking process.

She explained that: "All this grease is disgusting. So get rid of it!"

The video quickly went viral, but Titok users said that the girl's approach was unreasonable, and many people also believed that her cooking method was wrong, which reduced the nutritional content of the beef.

According to Insider, Tamika Sims - Director of Food Technology responds that there is no reason to wash meat "Don't do it, don't wash the meat," she said. "Once you splash water onto the meat it spreads the bacteria around your sink and countertops. It's not necessary, it's not helping you in any way. You're adding water to it for nothing."

Michelin-starred chef, Brad Carter explained that he would never wash meat like this. He believes that the "residue" in the meat that Emily Hasrper washes off is actually water and fat and nutrients in the meat.
