In an unexpected turn of events, a woman suddenly jumped out of her car and rushed into the middle of the road just to save a small creature stuck on the highway median.
Despite causing congestion on the highway, the woman's actions were still praised for her courage and compassion in saving the poor kitten stuck on the highway.
The woman spotted the poor kitten
A woman named Ozgun Ozturk discovered the kitten as she walked across the bridge in Turkiye.
She said she spotted a small yellow spot lying on the highway, but she couldn't determine what it was because of the distance. But then she quickly realized that it was a kitten, and it was stuck on the highway median.
Ozturk takes a risk to save a kitten stuck on the highway
In an emergency, Ozturk searched for a place to park her car.
As Ozturk described, the busy road had six lanes of fast-moving traffic on each side, making it difficult for her to find a safe spot.
After a while, she managed to pull over to the right. Without hesitation, she quickly rushed out of her car and started running back to the kitten.
The woman said that even though it was risky and she was not sure if it was a kitten, she still wanted to go there to confirm and help.
Just as Ozturk thought, it was a kitten curled up in the highway chalk strip. It was almost crushed by a car.
"Fortunately, I discovered it; it would have definitely been crushed if it had continued to move a few more steps," Ozturk described the kitten's position.
The kind woman disrupts the highway to save the kitten
Ozturk said the situation at that time was extremely dangerous, so she had no choice but to run to the highway to ask cars to stop for a moment so she could save the kitten stranded.
The woman shared that they didn't seem to stop until they saw her determination.
Ozturk eventually reached the kitten and rescued her from the crowded traffic.
Even though the kitten was rescued, it was exhausted and unable to call for help. So Ozturk quickly took it to a nearby veterinary clinic for a health check.
After examination, the doctor diagnosed that the kitten had a lung infection but could still be treated and recovered early due to timely detection.
The rescue was such a miracle that Ozturk decided to name it Miracle.
Miracle is now receiving the best treatment and gradually recovering from the bad things she went through.
