A woman stunned after gunman home invasion
The unsettling event began when a gunman, identified as Boyce, forcibly entered the home of Indianapolis resident Beraun.
Following the break-in, Boyce reportedly demanded that Beraun befriend him on Facebook.
As reported by WTHR, Boyce even pointed out his profile to her.
Beraun complied, hoping that adding him on Facebook might prompt him to leave.
According to Beraun, this initial strategy appeared effective as Boyce departed from her home.
However, shortly thereafter, the situation took a troubling turn as Boyce began messaging her on Facebook.

Boyce’s messages included an alarming note.
The note read: “Look you know I’mma pay you back. It’s a f***** up way to meet someone, but d*** you wass [sic] too pretty to rob.” Despite the distressing nature of the messages, Beraun chose to respond with empathy, stating: “I believe you man. I can tell you’re sweet, times just got rough. I know that.”
This response seemed to encourage Boyce, who continued to contact her, even inviting her to “come chill.”.
The traumatic experience significantly impacted Beraun’s sense of security.
She shared her feelings with local news, saying, “He really tried to rob me of my own things, but he took away my sense of safety from my own home.”
The incident has made her more anxious, especially at night.
She now worries about potential criminal activity in her neighborhood.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police revealed that Boyce had been previously arrested in connection with a separate robbery on June 12.
During that incident, he allegedly shot two people and hit a third person with a brick after an argument.
Boyce barricaded himself inside a building before surrendering to a SWAT team.
Boyce faced to multiple charges including burglary, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal recklessness, and battery.
In connection with the recent home invasion of Beraun, he was being held on a $7,500 bond.
This troubling case underscored the significant impact that violent crime can have on victims’ lives.
The unusual aftermath of the gunman’s attempt to contact his victim on social media adds another layer of complexity to an already distressing situation.
For Beraun, the event has not only disrupted her sense of security but also highlighted the need for vigilance and support for those affected by crime.
