The challenge of spotting camouflaged snakes
A recent post on Reddit has sparked a new challenge: finding two well-camouflaged snakes hidden in a woodland setting.
The post, shared by user @Prize-Technology-811, includes photos taken near Wilmington, Delaware. These snakes are so well hidden that most people would likely be unaware of their presence in the wild.
The snakes’ clever camouflage
If you see a headline claiming you can find these snakes, you might roll your eyes.
You may think, “How hard can it be?” However, many have been left stumped by this challenge. It seems social media can indeed hold some difficult puzzles!
The Reddit thread r/FindTheSniper showcases these photos. At first glance, you might only notice trees, leaves, and branches—no snakes in sight. But upon closer inspection, your “snake senses” might start to tingle.
Despite the post labeling the challenge as “medium difficulty,” many users found it surprisingly tough.
Many viewers lost their minds trying to find the snake.
In the comments, many viewers admitted they lost their minds and failed to spot the snake, while others continued to struggle, expressing their frustration.
One person said: I think my snake is taken by an eagle. Is not here anymore.
A second joked: I guess i need some snake boots can’t see it but i have cataracts though.
While a third commented: No, you won’t find the snake now. I found it earlier, killed it and threw it away somewhere else.
Another added: Still haven’t found the car from yesterday! I think it’s becoming clear to me at this point that I don’t have ‘sniper vision’
Tips for finding the snakes
However, some users successfully spotted the snake.
For those still searching, the original poster offered helpful hints. “Concentrate on the right side of the first photo,” they advised, “midway between the top and bottom.” For the second photo, look for the snake’s head under the upper left clump of brown mushrooms.
Another user provided more details: “It’s thin, tiny, and black with two long white stripes. Look at the dead center of the picture, then go right halfway and slightly downwards. The head is hiding under a green plant between two orange leaves.”
As one user humorously noted” I saw it right away. It’s on the stick. That’s crossing your path on the right side and it’s wiggly mean has a lot of curves in it. Everything else is straight.
Despite the difficulty, this snake-spotting challenge is a fun way to test your eyesight. If you haven’t found the snakes yet, don’t worry. As the original poster reassured us, “This one won’t kill you!”
So, take a moment, focus your vision, and see if you can conquer this challenge. Happy hunting!
