A body language expert claimed that Demi Moore was reportedly ‘gutted’ over not winning the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
The 97th Academy Awards took place on March 2 in Los Angeles.
The Best Actress category was one of the most anticipated awards of the night. Demi Moore, 62, was a top contender for her role in The Substance.
However, the award went to 25-year-old Mikey Madison for her performance in Anora.

According to body language expert Darren Stanton, Moore was visibly shocked.
According to the specialist, speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, “Demi was absolutely gutted to not win this Oscar.”
“We saw her masking her smiles when Mikey was announced the winner of Best Actress. After her success during this year’s awards season, I think she felt this was her time at the Oscars.
“We can see she was shocked and in disbelief of Mikey winning over her.”
Stanton added that Moore’s reaction suggested disappointment.
“Her mouth is wide open and her eyes are engaged fully onto the stage, showing us she just couldn’t believe what was happening in front of her,” he added.
“Her smiles did come across as disingenuous.”

However, some fans also supported Moore, noting her impressive awards season.

Following The Substance, Moore is set to star in I Love Boosters, an upcoming sci-fi comedy directed by Boots Riley.

Meanwhile, Anora, which won five Academy Awards, will be available to stream on Hulu in the U.S. starting March 17.
