A Burger King employee had bleach thrown in her face by a customer after she greeted him at the drive-thru.

A teenage worker at a Burger King in Georgia was left traumatized after a disturbing incident occurred at the drive-thru.

Andrea Alexander, 17, was attacked by a customer who threw bleach in her face shortly after she greeted him.

The incident took place around 10 PM during her night shift.

Andrea was excited to assist the next customer when a man in a red pickup truck pulled up to the window.

She greeted him as she usually does, asking how he was doing and informing him of his total.

She said: “The man came up to the window. I said, ‘Hey, how are you?’ I say that to every customer. I told him what his total was.

However, without warning, the man threw a cup of liquid at her, which she initially thought was water.

“I thought he was reaching to grab money, and when I looked up, next thing I know, he threw bleach in my face.

But as soon as she inhaled, she felt a burning sensation in her eyes and nose.

“At first, I thought it was water because it was really cold. But then I took a breath and my eyes and my nose immediately started burning.”

The young worker described her shock at the event. The pain was immediate, leading her to realize the severity of the situation.

After the attack, the man sped away without taking his order.

The Burger King employee was seriously affected by the attack

Since the incident, Andrea has struggled to sleep and is deeply affected by the trauma.

“Every time I close my eyes, I see someone throwing bleach at me,” she shared.

Her mother, La Toya, criticized the restaurant’s response, claiming that proper emergency procedures were not followed.

She stated that the establishment did not call the police or provide any first aid after the attack, leaving Andrea feeling unsupported.

She said: “Whatever their procedure is when some type of emergency like that happens, nothing was followed.”

Union City Police are currently investigating the incident and are looking to obtain surveillance footage from the restaurant to identify the attacker.

Police Captain Prentice Brooks said they hope to gather more information soon and bring justice to Andrea.

“We’re looking to look at some surveillance. Hopefully get some more information to locate the perpetrator and get some justice for the young lady,” they said.

Another case relates to Burger King restaurant.

Fearing for her child’s safety, Tiffany quickly instructed her daughter to spit out any food she had already eaten.

As she inspected her own meal, she found red fluid on it as well. “It looked like blood, not ketchup,” she explained, stressing her shock and concern.

Tiffany returned to speak with the manager, who informed her that a cook had accidentally cut his hand, leading to the contamination of the food.

The manager apologized and refunded the meal, but the emotional impact had already taken its toll.

Tiffany’s daughter now waits 30 days to see a pediatrician and will need regular blood tests for a year to ensure her health remains intact.

“She had fries and a bit of her hamburger,” Tiffany stated, expressing her concern about the potential health risks involved.

In response to the incident, Burger King issued a statement expressing deep concern.

They confirmed that they were in contact with the affected customer and emphasized their commitment to resolving the matter. The restaurant has temporarily closed to retrain staff and conduct a thorough cleaning.
