Leland Brown Jr. and his girlfriend, who reside in Hatfield, Penn., showcased the surprising perks of living in a storage unit.

“I live in storage unit because it’s cheap in comparison to an apartment,” Brown explained in a video.

“Living here is actually really comfortable,” He added, “I get a lot of things that I need and want to get done here.”

He highlighted the comfort of their small space, mentioning it was climate-controlled and allowed for various activities, such as exercising and playing music.

“This unit is 24 hours,” Brown continued. “So, I can come here anytime I want, stay here as long as I need to…we can take naps if we need to.”

Despite the cozy setup, living in a storage unit is illegal under local and federal housing laws. LifeStorage, a self-storage company, emphasized that any person found living on the premises must be evicted.
