A couple has shared eerie footage suggesting the presence of a 'ghostly' figure they believe may have scratched their sleeping baby girl while she was in her crib at night.
Heather Brough, a 25-year-old mother from Michigan in the United States, discovered three deep 'purple scratches' on her one-year-old daughter Lily Higgins' cheek after waking her from a nap.
Heather cried and asked her baby, 'What happened to you?' and promptly went to her mother-in-law's house.
Heather and her fiancé, Josh Higgins, checked the baby to find the answer. To their horror, they claim to have witnessed a male figure swiftly passing by Lily's crib before vanishing into thin air.
Heather also recounts an unsettling experience when she once felt someone 'choking her' as she was getting dressed at the property, leading her to believe there may be a ghost present.
Kris has disclosed that the previous homeowner was an elderly woman who had lain with a broken hip for an extended period until her lifeless body was found at the bottom of the stairs.
Furthermore, her schizophrenic brother had occupied the guesthouse until his passing several years later.
In light of these unnerving occurrences, the couple is actively searching for a new home to distance themselves from the property.
Heather said, "This is a spirit."
"This has made us want to leave as soon as possible. We're out of here as soon as possible."
Heather also mentioned that she's heard screaming, stomping, and laughter while being alone at home. She even woke up from her slumber to the sound of a male voice yelling.
She said, "If I'm in the shower, I hear someone running up and down the steps. One morning, I woke up to get ready for work, and it felt like someone was choking me."
However, surveillance cameras often capture backscatter, which occurs when the camera's flash reflects dust or airborne water droplets, potentially manifesting as orbs or creating spectral trails. This can project as orbs or leave ghostly trails.
Fujifilm characterizes these phenomena as "blurred images of dust particles.
