Disney faces criticism for allowing a male employee to wear a dress and makeup, leading to accusations of promoting a “woke” agenda.
Disney has come under fire recently for permitting a male employee to wear a dress and makeup while working at Disneyland.
The situation has sparked heated debate among the public, particularly among conservative groups.
A viral capturing mustachioed employee wearing dress, and makeup has gone viral
The employee, known as Nick, is a character called “Fairy Godmother’s Apprentice.”
In a viral TikTok video with millions of views, Nick welcomes children at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Anaheim, California.
He wears a costume dress and applies colorful makeup, including blue and purple eyeshadow, to match his outfit.
While many viewers found the interaction enjoyable, others expressed their disapproval.
A mother shared the video and described it as a magical experience at Disney
Kournti Farber, the mother who posted the video, praised the staff for providing her daughter with a magical experience.
“So, my name is Nick, I am one of the Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices,” said the employee.
“I’m here to shop you around and make all your selections for the day,” he continued.
She shared that the boutique is a place where children aged 3 to 12 can receive makeovers and feel like royalty.
Farber did not criticize Nick’s appearance, focusing instead on the positive experience for her child.
Conservative commentators and critics voiced their concerns.
Many claimed that allowing a man in a dress disrupts the traditional Disney experience.
Critic Peachy Keenan argued that it breaks the Disney magic illusion and that children should not face such “bizarre” situations.
“A man in drag is not only bizarre and inappropriate but it takes guests out of the ‘show’ – the illusion is broken.
Nothing matters but the agenda and your 4 yo is a pawn they are happy to mindflay,” he wrote.
Others echoed these sentiments, suggesting that it distracts from the family-friendly atmosphere Disney aims to create.
Political commentator Dave Rubin humorously suggested that the Biden administration might soon hire Nick.
He questioned the intentional choice of a man with a mustache for a role typically associated with women.
“What’s particularly interesting about this is how intentional it is. This is a dude with a mustache in a dress. Not a ‘trans’ person.
Think how many real girls want that job at Disney and they gave it to him for a reason…,” he explained.
Brandon Morse, an editor at Red State, expressed disappointment over what he viewed as a shift in Disney’s values.
He lamented the changes in the company, comparing them unfavorably to the past.
“May you never suffer the same destruction of your legacy that poor Walt has.”
Another critic, Jenna Ellis, a lawyer known for her ties to former President Donald Trump, called the decision “disgusting and wrong.”

Disney has made efforts to promote inclusivity in recent years.
In fact, the company changed the title from “Fairy Godmother in Training” to “Fairy Godmother’s Apprentice” to allow cast members of any gender to participate in the role.
This decision was part of a broader initiative to create a welcoming environment for all employees, regardless of their gender identity.
The controversy comes amid Disney’s ongoing conflicts with political figures, particularly Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Disney publicly opposed DeSantis’s “Don’t Say Gay” legislation, which aimed to limit discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity in schools.
This opposition has led to a feud between the company and the governor, contributing to a decline in Disney’s popularity among certain groups.
