Elon Musk revealed he nearly needed hospitalization due to a serious reaction following his recent Covid vaccine, sparking concern.
Elon Musk recently shared his reaction to getting the Covid vaccine. He claimed that after his vaccination, he almost had to go to the hospital.
This statement has attracted a lot of attention and sparked discussions about vaccine side effects.

Elon Musk reveals he almost needed hospitalization after recent Covid vaccine experience
Musk’s revelation came after he saw a clip from the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
In this episode, Vice President JD Vance discussed his own experience with the vaccine.
Vance described feeling very sick after his vaccination, saying it was the worst he felt in years.
He mentioned that he had Covid multiple times but felt worse after getting the vaccine.
Vance said: “I took the vax and — I haven’t been boosted or anything — but the moment where I really started to get red-pilled on the whole vax thing, was [when I was] the sickest that I have been in the last 15 years by far was when I took the vaccine.
And, I’ve had COVID at this point five times. I was in bed for two days. My heart was racing”.
Vance added: “Even the fact that we’re not allowed to talk about the fact that I was as sick as I’ve ever been for two days, and the worst Covid experience I had was like a sinus infection. I’m not really willing to trade that.
And you don’t even, you know, everybody that I know, or a lot of people I know, they talk about the second shot that they got of the vaccine was really- that made them really, really sick.
Well, that’s a side effect and not a side effect that we even talk about enough in this country”.
Musk reposted this clip on X (formerly Twitter) and added his own thoughts.
He expressed that he experienced significant chest pain after receiving the mRNA booster.
The tech CEO wrote: “I had a similar experience. Covid itself was nothing. I got the OG Wuhan strain before vaccines were out.
The J&J vaccine hurt my arm, but otherwise nothing.
But the mRNA booster hit extremely hard. Massive chest pain. Felt like I got hit by a truck. Almost went to hospital.…”

Side effects of the Covid vaccine
Many people experience side effects after getting vaccinated. Common side effects include pain at the injection site, fever, and chills.
These side effects usually last a few days and then go away. Health organizations, like the World Health Organization (WHO), say that these reactions are normal.
They indicate that the immune system is working to build protection against the virus.
Vance’s experience, however, was more severe. He described being bedridden for two days after his vaccination.
Musk’s comments echoed this sentiment, suggesting that his reaction was also serious.
These experiences highlight that while many people have mild reactions, others can have more intense symptoms.

The debate around vaccinations
The Covid vaccine has been a topic of much debate.
Some people are very supportive of vaccinations, believing they are essential for public health.
Others have concerns about their safety and effectiveness. Musk’s comments add to this ongoing discussion.
Despite the controversies, health experts continue to support vaccinations.
They argue that vaccines are crucial in preventing severe illness and death from Covid-19. The benefits of vaccination generally outweigh the risks of side effects.
