While the first two seasons have been widely acclaimed, the start of filming for the highly anticipated third season remains unclear.

In February 2022, it was announced on social media that a third season was in the works. However, the SAG-AFTRA strikes of last year, which affected numerous TV shows and movies, caused further production delays.

The announcement of the third season on social media in February 2022 was followed by further delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

While many of the leading cast members have been busy with other projects, Euphoria star Nika Kings, who is famous as Rue's mother in the film, had an unexpected revelation in her life during the wait for the premiere of Euphoria's third season.

In a recent stand-up show, King shared her frustration with the audience, revealing that she hasn't been able to pay her rent for the past six months due to the lack of work opportunities since Euphoria.

Regarding the ongoing delays, it appears that script rewrites are a contributing factor. Creator Sam Levinson is known for his meticulous approach to writing, constantly revising the scripts to address current issues and explore existential questions about the state of humanity.

Colman Domingo, who plays Ali Muhammed in the show, acknowledged Levinson's dedication to capturing the essence of the present moment.
