She believes Hollywood neglecting the vast talent pool of women in filmmaking.

In an interview with Hollywood Report, Stewart expressed her concerns about the trend of only promoting a few chosen female directors while neglecting the massive talent pool of women in filmmaking.

“[There’s a] thinking that we can check these little boxes, and then do away with the patriarchy, and how we’re all made of it.

“It’s easy for them to be like, ‘Look what we’re doing. We’re making Maggie Gyllenhaal’s movie! We’re making Margot Robbie’s movie!’ And you’re like, OK, cool. You’ve chosen four,” Stewart said.

Stewart pointed out that Hollywood often attempts to showcase their support for women by highlighting the success of a handful of female filmmakers.

She argued that while she admires and respects those women, the industry's focus on this small group creates a false sense of progress and fails to address the broader issue of underrepresentation.

According to Stewart, the industry's approach of promoting a limited number of female directors as a token gesture is not enough to bring about meaningful change.

Kristen Stewart stressed the need for Hollywood to genuinely expand its horizons and offer more chances to diverse voices in filmmaking.

She condemned the industry's tendency to favor safe and predictable projects, urging it to embrace unconventional and thought-provoking themes.

To follow her artistic vision and break free from Hollywood's limitations, Stewart chose to shoot her first film as a director, based on Lidia Yuknavitch's memoir, in Latvia rather than the traditional industry hub.

This decision grants her greater freedom to explore the unconventional elements of the narrative.

Stewart's movie tackles sensitive subjects like incest, periods, and empowerment.

By calling out Hollywood's promotion of a limited number of female filmmakers, Kristen Stewart brings attention to the need for greater inclusivity and equal opportunities for women in the industry.

Previously, during the premiere of Kristen Stewart's new film, "Love Lies Bleeding," things took a disturbing turn.

After a large number of people walked out, the scene became violent and chaotic.

The event happened at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in Belgium.

Most of the audience consisted of women and queer viewers, but a few individuals ruined the atmosphere with hateful comments.

They made homophobic and misogynistic remarks, creating an unfriendly environment.

The trouble started when same-sex romance scenes in the movie sparked homophobic heckling and jeering.

Shockingly, a particular scene depicting sexual coercion received cheers from a small group of people.

People who witnessed the incident were afraid for their safety. They were worried that those making offensive comments might become physically violent.

The police were called to handle the situation promptly. A representative from the festival expressed strong criticism of the hurtful and disrespectful jokes.
