European Nations update travel guidance for US visitors
Several European countries have updated their travel advisories for citizens planning to visit the United States.
The changes follow new immigration policies introduced by the Trump administration.
Additionally, Governments are advising travelers to be cautious and to ensure they meet all entry requirements before departure.
United Kingdom strengthens travel advice
The UK has revised its guidance for travelers heading to the US.
While, citizens are now explicitly warned to comply with all visa and entry conditions.
The UK Foreign Office stated: “The authorities in the US set and enforce entry rules strictly. You may be liable to arrest or detention if you break the rules.”
Previously, the advisory only mentioned that the US had strict entry requirements, without elaborating on potential legal consequences.
Germany investigates cases of denied entrty
Germany has also issued a travel update after three of its citizens were denied entry and detained.
Officials emphasize that having a valid visa or ESTA does not guarantee entry into the US.
While, a German foreign ministry spokesperson clarified: “The final decision on whether a person can enter the US lies with the US border authorities.”
Additionally, German authorities also warned that even minor infractions, such as overstaying a visa or providing false information, could result in detention or deportation.

A senior US official, speaking anonymously, suggested that changes could still be made to the list.
The final version is yet to be approved by the administration, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
