Located in Hangzhou’s Qianjiang Century City, the Regent International Center stands 675 feet tall.

With 260,000 square meters of space, this enormous building is designed to offer all the comforts and necessities of life without needing to step outside.

Originally planned as a six-star hotel, it has since been repurposed into a shared apartment complex.

The building includes a variety of amenities, such as medium-sized supermarkets, barber shops, nail salons, a fitness center, swimming pool, and even a food court.

Residents can also dine at a restaurant on the 32nd floor, which is open to anyone.

The video showed the self-contained living environment has captured the attention of many.

Yasmin marveled at the opulent entrance and vast space, which makes it feel more like a town than a typical apartment block.

She explains: “The building was initially planned as a six-star hotel but has become a shared apartment complex.”

The footage showed a marble entrance with cascading lights and people walking, resembling a castle’s entrance.

On the 32nd floor, there’s a restaurant open for reservations.

The complex also includes supermarkets, nail salons, barber shops, a fitness center, a pool, and a food court — everything is covered.

However, the one thing missing is fresh air, so staying inside all the time may not be ideal.

However, the one drawback is the lack of fresh air unless you open a window, so residents may need to venture outside occasionally.

The video sparked debate among viewers.

In the comment selection, many TikTok users reacted to the video with astonishment.

Comments ranged from awe over the size of the building to concerns about the potential plumbing challenges.

One user joked about the long waits for elevators. While another wondered if employees working in the building also lived there, effectively making it their “work-from-home” situation.

The building has everything from supermarkets to salons, offering a high level of convenience. However, residents must adapt to the lack of natural ventilation.

If you’re interested in testing life in this unique complex, there are currently apartments available for rent online, with prices starting around €800 per month.

With its massive scale and self-contained features, the Regent International Center provides a lifestyle where leaving the building isn’t necessary.
