In a recent interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, actress Jenna Ortega, 21, addressed the bizarre and unfounded rumors linking her romantically with Johnny Depp, 61.
The speculation, which circulated last year, falsely suggested that Ortega and Depp were involved in a serious relationship.
Additionally, it also implied that they might be collaborating on the Beetlejuice sequel.

In an interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, Ortega found the rumors not only perplexing but also quite amusing.
“It’s so insane to me. Like I never spoke on that, I never said anything like that,” she remarked, reflecting on the absurdity of the claims.
While,the rumors initially surfaced when celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi. It alleged that Ortega and Depp had been seen together and might be working on a project.
Additionally, Ortega also recounted how her co-star Richard E. Grant confronted her about the gossip.
“I thought that that was pretty hilarious. I was on set with Richard E. Grant and he came up to me and he said, ‘Oh, so you and Johnny’ and I laughed because I don’t know that person,” Ortega shared.
Janna Ortega also sets the record straight
In Instagram, Janna Ortega also took her her Instagram Stories, where she firmly refuted the claims.
“This is so ridiculous I can’t even laugh,” she wrote.
Additionally, she said that she had never metor worked with Depp.
Mean while, a representative for Johnny Depp also issued a denial.
They stated that Depp had no personal or professional relationship with Ortega.
They revealed that Depp was distressed by the malicious rumors intended to damage his reputation.”
Ortega also revealed she auditioned for a major role.
In the same BuzzFeed interview, Ortega opened up about a significant role she auditioned for but did not land.
She revealed that she auditioned for the role of Chani in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s “Dune”.
Despite her excitement and admiration for Villeneuve,
Ortega did not secure the part, which ultimately went to Zendaya.
Ortega’s interest in “Dune” was evident from her enthusiasm during the audition process.
“I remember just being a big fan of that film and the franchise,” she said.
