In a video shared by NBCLA, reporter Robert Kovacik encountered a homeowner fleeing his Pacific Palisades residence. Sparks flew in the air, carried by the relentless wind, as the man struggled to escape.

Clutching two framed paintings and a tote bag, the man tried to balance everything while mounting his bicycle. Kovacik asked, “What can we do to help, sir?” With his voice breaking, the homeowner responded, “You can take these paintings, I guess.”

Unable to carry the artwork safely on his bike, the man entrusted the reporter with the paintings. Kovacik promised to ensure their safe return, and the homeowner fled the scene.
