What does a black-out tattoo mean?

Backout tattoos are a symbol of profound mourning for a departed loved one, akin to the tradition of wearing black attire at funerals. However, as explained by My Tatouage, backout tattoos do not necessarily connote darkness or negativity exclusively.

According to My Tatouage, someone, who chooses to wear a black tattoo as a means of commemorating past experiences they wish to memorialize or keep in memory.

Additionally, blackout tattoos may encompass meanings associated with mystery, secrecy, concealment, enchantment, and the realm of darkness. This stands in contrast to white ink tattoos, commonly associated with notions of purity and innocence.
