According to Vice, Jon began the immense challenge after learning about a man who had challenged himself to consume 1,000 pints within a year. Jon believed he could double that figure within a shorter time.

As Jon approaches day 191 of this challenge, he has spent a substantial £7,772 on cider and lager. However, he stated that the money would have been spent on alcohol anyway.

In addition to consuming the pints, the beer enthusiast informed Vice that he diligently maintained a progress spreadsheet throughout the entire endeavor.

The 25-year-old claimed that he doesn't suffer from hangovers, despite averaging ten pints per day. Furthermore, after starting his challenge, he decided to quit his full-time job to become an influencer on the TikTok platform.

While some of his followers bestow upon him the status of a 'legend,' others express concern about the impact on his health and the amount of money he's spending on the challenge.

One person said: I would strongly advise you not to mate. It’s really not good.

A second wrote: I can drink a lot more in a day, but I couldn't drink 200 days straight. Plus I couldn't afford to do it either lol.

A third commented: I don’t think a lack of people buying pints is a problem that exists.

Someone else said: YES MATE! Your shoulders must be so sore carrying the economy on them.

According to NHS regulations, men and women should drink no more than 14 units of alcohol per week, which is equivalent to 6 pints of medium-strength beer or 10 glasses of low-strength wine. Drinking should be spread out over three or more days, and if you want to cut down on your drinking, try to have a few alcohol-free days each week.
