In the clip, he highlighted various defects on the vehicle, despite its hefty price tag of over $120,000.
According to Giovanni, the car’s construction appears subpar, almost as if “toddlers” assembled it.
“I’m a car guy, and I get Teslas are a touchy subject,” Giovanni said. “But this… I don’t understand. Can someone explain Tesla’s build quality?”

“Look at the frunk,” he said. “It’s open, and I’m tapping it, and it wobbles like it’s going to fall off.”
The video further illustrated how several panels on the car failed to align properly. “It looks like toddlers put this together during recess,” Giovanni remarked.
The video quickly went viral and sparked debate on social media
The video sparked numerous responses, with viewers expressing varying opinions. Some agreed with Giovanni, while others defended Tesla.
A commenter, who claimed to be a former Tesla employee, supported Giovanni’s observations. “I worked for Tesla, bro, and 100% poor quality control at Tesla,” they wrote. “After three years, everything squeaks and makes noise.”
One person said:Buying a Tesla Plaid when the same money buys you an M5 Competition is the craziest move to me.
A second wrote: That’s unacceptable for that kind of money. That’s worse than a Ford Fiesta. ( no offense fiesta owners).
While a third commented: you spent 120k on a ev and didn’t get the audi/porsche sedan, that’s on you.
Someone else said: It’s sad when a 1991 Buick century has better build quality then a brand new Tesla.
Another added: Tesla’s are like iphones.. they just about the money.
Despite the criticism, other users defended Tesla, arguing their own cars were in excellent condition.
Giovanni’s video quickly spread beyond TikTok, gaining attention on other platforms like Twitter. One Twitter user connected the vehicle’s build issues to broader problems within Musk’s enterprises, saying, “Everything happening at Twitter made sense when I saw this video.”
Previously, Elon Musk acknowledges quality issues
Concerns over Tesla’s build quality are not new. Even Tesla CEO Elon Musk admitted last year that criticisms about the company’s manufacturing were “accurate.”
Additionally, the viral video emerged around the same time as allegations about poor labor conditions at Tesla’s Texas gigafactory. Construction workers accused the company of unsafe working conditions, frequent accidents, and wage theft.
“Nobody deserves what happened at the gigafactory,” a whistleblower said. “I don’t think it was humane.”
The latest viral video has reignited debates over Tesla’s build quality.
While some users defend their Teslas, claims from former employee. However for now, buyers may need to weigh these concerns when considering their next electric vehicle purchase.
