On the TikTok platform, a man criticized overhead bin usage on a plane and gained attention.
A man has recently voiced his opinion on plane etiquette, which gained discussion on social media.
In the footage, he criticized passengers who pu t backpacks in overhead bins, believing such individuals should be penalized severely, even suggesting they should go straight to jail
This bold statement has ignited a flurry of debates on social media, proving that plane etiquette is indeed a contentious topic.
In a viral video, a man sparked debate after sharing his thoughts on the 'worst type of passenger'.
The Tiktoker, named Daniel Bennett, known on TikTok as @dxnielbennett, has sparked further discussion by sharing his thoughts on what he considers the 'worst' type of passenger.
In a concise 30-second clip, Bennett explains his theory.
According to Bennett, "The easiest way to tell if someone is a good person in an airport is to see where they put their luggage when they get on a plane. If they put their carry-on luggage in the overhead compartment and their personal item — like their backpack or their purse — under the seat, they're a good person and they're aware of their surroundings."
However, Bennett criticizes passengers who place small personal items in the overhead lockers, which he believes should be reserved for carry-on luggage.
The video quickly went viral on social media and sparked debate on the issue.
One person said: You can tell A LOT about a person depending on their airport actions.
A second wrote: Honestly. The worst are the people who put their jacket in the overhead bins.
While a third commented: I love it when a flight attendant takes small items out, hands it back to the owner, and puts my carryon in instead, happened a couple lucky times.
Another added: Ive seen flight attendants call people out for this and it gives me SO MUCH JOY.
Someone else said: Nothing makes me SEETHE like a small item in an overhead.
If I only have my personal item with me it’s going up top. Someone said.
Previously, other TikTokers also debated on social media about hotel safe usage.
In a related story, another TikToker previously sparked debate by suggesting a unique method to remember items in a hotel safe.
Esther Sturrus, a flight attendant for the Dutch airline KLM, shared this tip on her TikTok account @esthersturrus.
Sturrus advises, "Worried about forgetting something from your locker? Put your heel/shoe in it so you won't forget it!"
According to her, placing a shoe in the safe along with valuable items serves as a foolproof reminder.
She reasons that guests wouldn't leave the room without both shoes, thus prompting them to check the safe for any valuables they might have otherwise accidentally left behind.
