In the footage, Flight attendants reveal reasons why you should never wear shorts on a plane.
He said: 'Don't or try not to wear shorts when you're on an airplane. It's the same thing as the window. You never know how clean it's gonna be, so if you have pants, you're gonna have less germ'.
'It's honestly just super unsanitary and pretty gross, so when you flush, use a napkin or tissue that's in the lavatory.'
And he added: 'Don't forget to drink water. Stay hydrated. You wanna have about 16oz for every flight you go on, so keep that in mind.'
Additionally, Tommy also warns about the risk of falling asleep or resting their heads on the window
Tommy, offered other tips, cautioning passengers against falling asleep or resting their heads on the window.
He pointed out that it's unknown how many individuals, including children, may have touched or smeared things on the window.
He continued: "Don't feel afraid to let a flight attendant know if you're feeling sick. So if you need food, water, or an air sickness bag, please feel free to let us know."
Tommy is not the first person to give advice warning passengers to avoid certain behaviors on a plane.
Another flight attendant also explained why you should be advised not to wear flip-flops or Crocs on a plane.
Ms. Fischbach, a flight attendant for American Airlines, explains why certain shoes should be avoided during flights.
In an interview with whattowear.co.uk, Ms. Fischbach discussed the potential dangers of wearing certain types of shoes on flights, particularly during emergencies.
High heels and backless shoes, such as flip-flops and slides, can pose safety risks.
These types of footwear can potentially damage emergency exits or injure others if they fly off during an evacuation.
Ms. Fischbach revealed that they are frequently removed during flights due to their impracticality.
In the event of an evacuation, high heels would need to be removed to avoid puncturing the evacuation slide.
Ms. Fischbach pointed out that high heels, flip-flops, slides, and any backless shoes are not suitable for quickly moving from gate to gate during layovers.
She further explained that open-toed shoes, such as flip-flops and backless shoes, can lead to discomfort, especially during long flights, as feet are more likely to freeze.
She advised passengers to opt for closed-toe shoes to avoid potential contact with unsanitary liquids.
