According to RadarOnline.com, this decision has left Meghan Markle displeased, as she believes Kate is “encroaching” on her territory in the fashion world.

Meghan Markle, wife of Prince Harry, previously guest-edited Vogue in 2019. She is reportedly unhappy that Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, is now featured on the magazine’s prestigious cover. A source in California revealed:
“Meghan has her lifestyle brand, a luxury home in Montecito, a Netflix deal, and strong connections with A-list celebrities in the U.S. So, she’s not thrilled that Kate seems to be stepping into her space. Meghan believes that, with Kate’s love for the outdoors, she should be on the cover of a countryside magazine about horses and hiking, not Vogue.”

According to sources in London, Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, approached Kate through an intermediary, offering her the opportunity to appear on multiple global covers, including the U.K. and U.S. editions.
