Trecy La Cayenne uploaded a video originating from an undisclosed hotel kitchen. The video showed a cook making 'fake' scrambled eggs from a plastic bag.

In the video, the chef is captured retrieving a blue bag of pre-made eggs from the freezer and poking holes in it with a bread knife.

The video demonstrated the process of making hotel breakfast eggs.  They were placed in a microwave for an unknown amount of time. Then they were transferred to an oven, cooked until broken down, and finally placed in a serving container.

One person said: These are the eggs you get at the complimentary breakfast buffet at all US hotel chains. I never eat those powdered eggs at those buffets. A good upscale hotel would not use those and cook a fresh breakfast. Or don't be cheap and go out and find a nice, local breakfast restaurant and sample the local flavor.

A second wrote: This is how hotels that have complimentary breakfast make their eggs, it's perfectly acceptable and not bad tasting, especially when a fresh tray comes out. If you want fresh made eggs your way, hit up Denny's and grab an All-American Slam.

A third commented: Not all hotels make their scrambled eggs this way. I make breakfast for a hotel, and we use real, whole eggs - and I don't cook them in a microwave.

Someone else said: Did people really think buffet eggs were freshly made? No, all buffets, cafeterias, camps, schools, etc., use powdered eggs for convenience & economy. They're not bad tasting at all, but they don't taste like freshly made eggs.

The hospital I worked at used huge vacuum-sealed bags of peeled boiled eggs for the sandwiches, the stench when opening them was disgusting. Used to love hospital egg sandwiches until I saw and smelt that. Another said.

Another added: Just like every restaurant that serves breakfast and brunch buffets. Do they really think that hundreds of people ordering eggs are having them cracked at the grill..they don't. They use liquid eggs, pre-beaten, with a ladle-just like pancakes/waffle batter...

While the specific hotel's identity remains undisclosed, La Cayenne told viewers that she was employed at the establishment when the video was recorded and shared.

Additionally, she confirmed that the hotel is located in the UK rather than the US.
