An American Eagle Air Embraer E175 (USA) was struck by lightning after landing in Arkansas, USA.

A photographer captured a spectacular moment when a jet filled with passengers at an Arkansas airport was struck by lightning. Consequently, the plane rocked, and the passengers were scared.

According to Daily Mail, the incident occurred on the afternoon of June 25, local time. An Embraer E175 airplane, carrying a full load of passengers, was struck by lightning after landing in a storm in Arkansas, USA.

Jason William Hamm recorded the video of the Embraer E175 being struck by lightning. He thought that the first bolt of lightning did not hit the plane, but a few seconds later, another lightning bolt hit the tail of the plane, and the scene was shocking.

He shared that: " I don't think it hit the plane, it still would have made an amazing video though."

He added: "The plane was fine, it taxied to the gate normally after an extended wait on the taxiway due to the storm."

Fortunately, the Embraer E175 was not seriously damaged and all 140 people on board were safe. After waiting for the storm to subside, the plane finally reached the boarding gate. Technicians arrived to assess the damage.

The Embraer E175 is not the first plane that was hit by lighting. Earlier, a Boeing 737 MAX also encountered a lightning strike at an altitude of more than 9,000 meters and was preparing to land at Panama City Tocumen International Airport - Panama.

A video recorded within the cockpit shows striking the nose of the plane as the pilots navigate a heavy storm.

According to Daily Mail, in March, a plane also belonging to Lufthansa from Austin, Texas, USA to Frankfurt, Germany also had to make an emergency landing in Washington, DC due to lightning damage.

As a result, seven people were injured and other passengers on board screamed in panic. The plane then landed successfully at Washington Dulles International Airport around 9:00 p.m.
