According to his grandmother, Maria Ramos, the child was scheduled to take a flight from Philadelphia International Airport to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.

However, no one knows why he took off at Orlando Airport, meanwhile, his luggage still transformed to the right destination, Fort Myers.

Recounting the moment she discovered her grandson Casper was not present at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Maria was extremely panicked and immediately contacted the staff on the flight she had booked for Casper.

Finally, none of them saw Casper on the flight, assuming he had missed his flight.

'They told me, "No, he's not on this flight. He missed his flight."I said,

"No, he could not miss his flight because I have the check-in tag,"' Maria Ramos said.

"I ran inside the plane to the flight attendant, and I asked her, "Where’s my grandson? He was handed over to you at Philadelphia?" She said,

"No, I had no kids with me,"' Maria narrated the flight attendant's words.

Fortunately, Casper then called to inform his grandma that he had landed at the wrong airport.

In the statement issued by Spirit Airlines, they insisted that the child was “incorrectly boarded” on a plane to Orlando.

The spokesman emphasized that the 6-year-old boy was always under the care and supervision of a Spirit Team Member, and as soon as they discovered the error, they took immediate steps to communicate with the family and reconnect them to handle the unfortunate mistake.

"We take the safety and responsibility of transporting all of our Guests seriously and are conducting an internal investigation. We apologize to the family for this experience," said Spirit Airlines.

Despite demanding compensation for Maria's gas cost so she could drive to Orlando, four hours from Fort Myers, to pick up Casper, the grandmother still asked the airline to give a reasonable answer.

"I want them to call me. Let me know how my grandson ended up in Orlando. How did that happen? Did they get him off the plane?

The flight attendant – after mom handed him with paperwork – did she let him go by himself? He jumped in the wrong plane by himself?" Maria angrily said.

On the phone, Ramos encouraged her grandson to consider it a unique experience, but the child seemed shaken by the confusion and swore he would never board an aircraft by himself again.
