While, another echoed this sentiment, suggesting the teacher use the phrases in her teaching.

While some support the teacher’s stance, others believe banning words is unnecessary.

One person said: I’m a bus driver for high school and a girl on the bus has rhotacism. She says, “bwuh” way too many times during the route.

A second wrote: As a high school physics teacher, this week and last week we learned about net force equations which is written as…sigma F….the amount of chuckles….allow me to sigh with you

While a third commented: Incorrect approach. Use the words more than them, the word will die.

Another added: Elementary teacher here. I tried using these words in the most embarrassing context to discourage them from using them. It didn’t work, now apparently I’m a “skibidi sigma rizzler”, or some shit like that.

The teacher’s ban on slang words has ignited a debate about youth culture and language. While some believe it disrupts learning, others argue that it’s a harmless form of self-expression.

What are your thoughts on this issue? Should teachers ban certain words, or should they embrace the evolving language of their students?
