The 30-year-old athlete shared her distress on Instagram after discovering that her Olympic uniform was the wrong size.
Jackson, who stands five feet, ten inches tall, expressed her frustration and sadness. She revealed that she had been crying for an hour due to the sizing issue.
‘When you spend your first hour in Paris crying because they didn’t give you anything in your size.’ She wrote.

In the follow-up post, Jackson provided clarification and an apology regarding her uniform.
In a follow-up post, Jackson clarified that the issue was due to an administrative error rather than a lack of available sizes. She explained that the correct sizes were indeed available, but a mistake in the system led to the wrong sizes being initially provided.
She explained: ‘Arriving and seeing wrong sizes was obviously pretty upsetting but my team here have been amazing in fixing it’.
‘The USATF/Team USA/Nike guys really came through.’
The sports star was very emotional about the wrong size for several reasons.
Jackson’s emotional reaction was partly due to past experiences of exclusion. This made the uniform mix-up particularly upsetting.
She reflected on how past experiences of exclusion had hurt her. However, she reassured fans that this incident was an honest mistake.
Jackson expressed her willingness to discuss these issues further after her competition.
‘Turns out there was an admin error on the system that recorded all of my sizes incorrectly for all of the different brands’ She added, ‘Just to be clear, all brands do have my size, it just wasn’t given to me originally but I have it now, so it’s all good. There was no exclusion or anything just a super unfortunate logistical nightmare!’
Jackson has previously spoken about her journey to embrace her strength and femininity.
Despite facing challenges with body image in her youth, she has worked to promote body positivity and self-acceptance.
