Fuel prices fluctuate, making it difficult for drivers to budget for gas. Some people even waste fuel searching for cheaper stations.

Electric vehicles (EVs) offer a solution, promising lower costs and more predictable expenses. With growing interest in Teslas, one Cybertruck owner has shared his six-month charging costs.

Cybertruck driver spent only $573.55 on charging

Bilal Sattar, a Cybertruck owner, revealed his total charging expenses over six months. Covering 10,000 miles, he spent just $573.55.

By comparison, a gas-powered car running on $4 per gallon would have cost $2,392 for the same distance.

This means Sattar saved approximately $1,800 by driving electric.

On the X platform, Sattar showed how the Tesla app helps track savings

Sattar shared a screenshot from the Tesla app, which allows drivers to monitor their savings from switching to electric.

The app provides real-time tracking of charging costs, helping Tesla owners stay aware of their expenses.

Smart charging strategies lower costs even more

Sattar’s ability to keep costs low comes from strategic charging habits.

– He frequently charges at free public charging stations.
– He uses solar energy to reduce home charging expenses.

These choices significantly lower his overall energy costs compared to typical EV owners.

Additionally, Sattar isn’t the only one benefiting from Tesla’s lower charging costs.

One couple reported significant savings by switching to a Tesla. They shared on YouTube that their electricity bill remained manageable.

“If you are looking at purchasing a Tesla and you are worried about how much your bill is going to increase, I don’t think that’s something you need to take into account,” one of them explained.

Sattar’s post quickly went viral and sparked debate among viewers. In the comment section, many shared their thoughts on the impressive charging costs for the Tesla Cybertruck.

One person said: 3 months out of the 6 he was standing around waiting for his truck to charge my time is worth more then saving money

A second wrote: He spent $573.55 (£452.26) over the course of 6 months, which in the “equivalent of car gas” he would’ve spent $2,392 (£1,886), roughly saving a little more than $1,800.

While a third commented: The car would of depreciated more than that in that time because they suck. So would of lost a lost more $$

Another added: In the last 6 months I spent £210 on fuel with my Hyundai i30. My initial outlay for the car was 7k. How much does a cyber truck cost? Just checking to see how much I could have saved over all

Tesla recalls thousands of vehicles over camera issue

Despite the savings, Tesla has faced challenges. Recently, the company recalled 240,000 vehicles due to a camera issue.

The recall affects:

– 2023-2025 Tesla Model X
– 2023-2025 Tesla Model Y

This issue could potentially lead to accidents, prompting Tesla to take action.

Sattar’s experience shows that Tesla’s Cybertruck can be a cost-effective alternative to gas-powered cars.

With strategic charging, free stations, and solar energy, EV drivers can maximize their savings even further.
