Shareholders demand Musk Justify his actions

DOGE sent an email instructing federal employees to report their weekly accomplishments. The message warned that “failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.”

Cabinet secretaries quickly advised employees to ignore the directive.

A Tesla investor posted on X, formerly Twitter, on February 26. They shared a graph showing the company’s recent stock decline.

Social media reaction

Shareholders’ demand for Musk to justify his actions quickly went viral and sparked debate among viewers.

One person said: You bought the top and are now angry? If you have faith in a project then buy more

A second wrote: its down another $25 since this post

While a third commented: Politics aside: unlimited and unending growth in any investment is not realistic no matter if it’s Tesla or Krogers. Buy gold or bonds if you can’t handle volatility.

Another added: They should also know not to buy tesla at a high price because it always fluctuates. Long holders just but more.

Musk’s controversial email sparks backlash

The shareholder’s comment mirrors a memo Musk sent to federal employees. In it, he ordered them to list their weekly accomplishments.

At the end of the email, Musk warned that ‘failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.’

Additonally, Federal employees were instructed by cabinet secretaries not to reply. This forced Musk to retract his statement.

Musk later defended the email on X. He wrote: “The passing grade is literally just ‘Can you send an email with words that make any sense at all?’ It’s a low bar.”

In another post, Musk claimed the purpose was to check ‘who had a pulse and two working neurons.’

Despite the backlash, President Trump praised Musk’s efforts. He credited him with cutting $1 trillion from the federal budget.

During his March 4 address to Congress, Trump stated: “I have created the brand-new Department of Government Efficiency: DOGE. Perhaps you’ve heard of it.

“Elon Musk is heading it. He’s in the gallery tonight. He’s working very hard. He didn’t need this. We appreciate it.”

Trump then gestured to the Democratic side of the chamber. He added: “Everybody here, even this side, appreciates it, I believe. They just don’t want to admit that.”

Musk responded with a salute from the viewing gallery. He also dressed formally for the occasion, ditching his usual t-shirt and ‘dark MAGA’ cap for a button-up shirt and tie.

Additoinally, Trump referred to Musk as the head of DOGE.

“Which is headed by Elon Musk, who is in the gallery tonight. He’s working very hard. He didn’t need this. We appreciate it.”

Trump added: “Everybody here, even this side, appreciates it, I believe. They just don’t want to admit that.”

However, his administration has argued in court that Musk is not an employee of the agency.

Instead, they claim he serves as a senior advisor. According to officials, he has no formal decision-making authority.

This contradiction has left many questioning Musk’s true role within the organization. While, Tesla shareholders continue pressing for accountability.
