A Texas man left people amazed after his trail camera captured an eerie creature, believed to be a ‘skin-walker’ or ‘chupacabra.’

The discovery was made by Michael ‘Dumas’ Demel, a resident of Texas who set up several cameras in various hunting areas to monitor wildlife.
When he reviewed the footage, he was shocked to find an unusual creature instead of the typical animals he usually captures.
Rather than seeing deer, raccoons, or squirrels, he was confronted with a being he could not identify.
Demel said: “I have three different cameras at three different hunting areas – they catch coyote, deer, bobcats, rabbits, raccoons, foxes.
Michael explained that he typically examines hundreds of camera pictures daily.
The man couldn’t identify what that creature was
After zooming into one particular image, his first instinct was to think it resembled a monkey.
However, the more he scrutinized it, the more perplexed he became, realizing it didn’t match any known species.
“I look at approximately 100 plus pics a day from the three cameras, but that was the only photo that it showed up on.
“My first reaction was something didn’t look right, so I stopped on the picture to zoom in.
“My first instinct was that it was a monkey.”
To seek answers, he shared the image with friends, family, and neighbors.
The responses were varied and intriguing.
Some suggested it might be an alien, while others thought it could be a ‘skin-walker’—a witch capable of transforming into an animal.
However, the most popular theory was that this strange creature was indeed a ‘chupacabra,’ a legendary being known in Latin American folklore for allegedly draining the blood of livestock.
“You hear stories of chupacabra in south Texas areas. The craziest was a skin-walker – I had to look up what that even is,” he said.
Even officials stated so hard to identify the mysterious creature
In his quest for identification, Michael contacted the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for assistance.
Unfortunately, they too were unable to provide a definitive answer.
A spokesperson from the department stated:
“We reached out to our mammologist, but due to the quality of the image, an identification of the animal is not possible.”
He remarked that in his ten years of photographing wildlife, he had never encountered anything like this before.
The experience left him both bewildered and fascinated, fueling his curiosity about the creature’s origins.
