He wrote: Movie Industry in America is DYING a very fast death.”

“Other Countries are offering all sorts of incentives to draw our filmmakers and studios away from the United States,” Trump claimed. “Hollywood, and many other areas within the U.S.A., are being devastated.”

He said international governments are deliberately undermining U.S. film production through subsidies. He characterized this as an “economic attack” and a “national security threat.”

The proposed tariff would apply to any movie produced outside the United States, regardless of studio origin, genre, or language, and could reshape global film distribution.
